The race runs through Hickories Park, a setting that doubles as a festival grounds, so the atmosphere around the start and finish is busy with music, vendors, and crowds well before the gun. It is an evening race, which keeps things cooler and gives the whole event a party-weekend feel rather than a quiet weekday morning.

Bib pickup opens in the bandstand area before the start, with race-morning pickup available on site.
