About the Over the Hill Track Club Thanksgiving Turkey Trot
The race starts and finishes in the parking lot of a college campus on Thanksgiving morning. The route is a run/walk open to all paces, and the awards lean into the holiday theme, with turkey-themed prizes for the top finishers. A short kids' fun run goes off before the main race, so families tend to show up together.
Water is at the finish, and there may be donated snacks depending on what local merchants bring. The race benefits the cross country programs at a local high school, and a raffle with donated prizes rounds out the post-race scene. There is no entry fee, though a small donation is suggested.
