The course is a loop through Five Rivers Metroparks, mostly grass and double-track trail with just a short stretch of paved bike path. It is almost entirely flat. Runners and ruckers keep going for the full duration, accumulating loops at their own pace, so the field thins and refills around you throughout the day.
