About the Out Wayne Kids Fun Run Pre-Turkey Trot
This kids' fun run is held on the Wayne High School track, which keeps the whole event contained and easy for parents to watch. Each age group runs a distance suited to them, and within that group kids pick how far they want to go. After the shorter heats, there is an optional mile open to everyone. The goal is to add all the distances together as a group.
The event is free to enter, with optional donations going to Ronald McDonald House Charities. You can also bring aluminum tabs on race day. Water and hot chocolate are available, and there is music throughout. The organizers note that accommodations for children with disabilities can be arranged by reaching out ahead of time.
