The course runs north from downtown Ossining along the Old Croton Aqueduct Trail, a historic path that keeps you off the roads and under tree cover for much of the route. The race benefits the local school district's education foundation, and that purpose is visible in the crowd: a lot of families, a lot of people who know each other, and a start line right on Main Street.
