It is a road race on flat neighborhood terrain, the kind of route where you pass houses and front yards rather than trails or parks. The race is chip-timed and results go up online shortly after.
This race runs alongside a larger community celebration, so there is a parade and other activities happening after you finish. Awards go to top finishers across several age groups, handed out at the finish line rather than at a formal ceremony.
