About the ORRRC Darby Creek Bison 10k Trail Race

The course runs through Battelle Darby Creek Metropark, a sprawling preserve of prairies, open fields, and dense forest following the Big and Little Darby Creeks. Trail conditions vary with the terrain, so expect natural surfaces underfoot, some softer stretches near the creek corridors, and a route that feels genuinely wild rather than manicured.

The start and finish are both at the Cedar Ridge parking area, so everything stays in one place. Timing chips are assigned at check-in, and the organizers suggest arriving well before the gun to park, collect your chip, and get a warmup in before the course fills.
