The course runs on Pumpkin Ridge Road, and the hills are real. The half marathon and the longer distance loop counterclockwise, while the shorter race turns around and comes back so all finishers come in the same direction. Both certified courses start and finish at North Plains Elementary School, and the terrain is road throughout.
