About the Oregon Trail Game® 5K & Kids Fun Run
The course runs through historic Oregon City with real hills and real stairs, including a long climb up steps alongside Singer Hill Falls. You pass the Municipal Elevator, the McLoughlin neighborhood, and views over the Willamette River and Willamette Falls, starting and finishing at the interpretive center downtown. Along the way, you make Oregon Trail-style decisions, and you get both a timed result and a game score.
The race doubles as a fundraiser for Oregon City Schools Foundation, supporting books, scholarships, classroom grants, and school programs. There is also a free kids run alongside the main event, so it draws families. Dress as a pioneer if you want; plenty of people do.
