About the OMKC Non-Runners Run or Go the Extra Mile for the Military Kids
The course runs point-to-point from a church to a bar, with a donut and water stop partway along. The route is short enough for strollers and wheelchairs, and the finish at the Salty Turtle has beer for adults and root beer for younger runners. Awards go to whoever shows up in the most patriotic outfit.
Parking is available at both the start and the finish, though carpooling is encouraged. The race benefits a nonprofit that supports military children in the area.
