About the Ollie's Fall 10K
The course runs on a chat trail inside Santa Fe Park, looping around the Lakeview recreation area. Each loop brings you back past the same ground, so the terrain becomes familiar quickly. The surface has some crunch to it underfoot, and the route stays away from roads entirely, which keeps things quiet.
The park is also home to a longer ultra event later in the season, so the infrastructure is well practiced. The cutoff is generous enough that walkers are genuinely welcome, not just tolerated. The start area is at Lakeview itself.
