About the Okefenokee Swamp Run
The course starts on pavement through the swamp park, then turns onto wide dirt forest service roads through Dixon Memorial State Forest before coming back to pavement for a quick finish. The roads are broad enough that roots are not much of a concern, but after rain you can expect standing water and mud in spots. The surroundings are open and swampy, which is the whole point.
Packet pickup is at the park on race morning, and the start and finish areas are inside Okefenokee Swamp Park, so there are indoor restrooms available. Pets and service dogs are not permitted on the course.
