About the Ocracoke Island Weekend Runfest 5K, 10K & Half Marathon
Ocracoke is a barrier island you reach by ferry, and the race roads reflect that: flat, coastal, open to the wind off the water. The weekend splits across two days, with shorter distances one morning and the half marathon the next. There is also a combined challenge for anyone who wants to run both days back to back.
Packet pickup happens at a local brewery the evening before each race, and the same spot hosts the post-race party afterward, with beer from the brewery for those of age. Water and fruit are out on the course and at the finish. The half marathon has no morning pickup, so plan ahead.
