About the Oberlin Monster Mash Dash 5k Fun Run (2026)
The course winds through Oberlin and comes back to Tappan Square, the central park where the main streets cross downtown. It is untimed and unsupported, so there is no chip, no clock at the finish, and no aid along the way. Costumes are the point: prizes go to the most creative, and judges cover both adult and kids categories, plus best family costume.
After the run, the party moves to a bar on Main Street, just a short walk from the finish. The race welcomes runners, walkers, skaters, and people who just want to cheer from Tappan Square.
