About the Oasis Dash Half Marathon • 5 Miler • 5K
The course at Bob Wentz Park follows sandy lakeside paths with water visible through most of the route. The terrain is natural and uneven enough to work your legs differently than pavement would. Shorter distances loop the course once or twice; the half marathon does several laps of the same route. The peninsula area known as The Point is part of the park setting.
The park has covered picnic areas and swimming access, so there is somewhere to cool off after you finish. The five-mile distance carries RRCA Texas State Championship status, with championship awards across age and ability categories.
