About the 14th Annual NOW ~Lap The Lake~ 5k Walk & Run
The course follows private roads around a lake, so traffic is not a factor and the surroundings stay quiet the whole way. It is a road race that feels removed from the usual suburban scenery, with water visible for much of the route. A separate kids fun run runs alongside the main event. The race starts and finishes at a lakeside tavern.
A radio broadcast and on-course photography are part of the morning. There is a post-race festival at the finish area after the run wraps up.
