This is primarily an inline skating event, with a running division alongside it. The half marathon starts on the North Shore highway, pulls runners through the Northland woods, and sends them through a pair of interstate tunnels before finishing near a historic ship docked on the waterfront. The shorter run covers much of the same tunnel stretch. A roller ski division rounds out the morning.
