The course runs through Angel Stadium, which means part of it takes you out onto the actual field. You will also appear on the Jumbo-Tron as you finish, which is not something most races can offer. The surrounding area and the Día de los Muertos theme give the morning a distinctly festive energy, with decorations and color throughout.
