About the North Wildwood Irish Fest 5k and 1 Mile Walk
The course runs along the North Wildwood boardwalk, which keeps things flat and open the whole way. It is a beach-town race with salt air and wide views, and the Ancient Order of Hibernians puts it on as part of their Irish Festival, so the finish area feeds directly into a full day of music, entertainment, and activities.
Age group awards go several levels deep for both men and women, so there is real hardware up for grabs beyond the overall podium. The festival grounds are right there after you finish, which makes it easy to hang around rather than head straight to the parking lot.
