About the North Royalton Bear Run

The Bear Run starts and finishes at North Royalton High School. There is a shorter fun run option alongside the timed main distance, so the morning draws a wide range of ages and abilities. Post-race refreshments are set up at the finish, and age group awards go several places deep for both men and women.

Packet pickup opens the morning of the race at the high school, with a registration table available for anyone who has not signed up ahead of time.

Common Questions About the North Royalton Bear Run

Will I finish last at the North Royalton Bear Run?

Almost certainly not. Half the 3.1 Miles field finished slower than 26:55, and the last recorded finisher came in around 50:35, so there is a long tail of runners behind the middle of the pack. Most fields are far slower than people expect.

Is the North Royalton Bear Run a good first 3.1 Miles?

It is a small race (104 finishers), which is friendlier and less intimidating than a big-city event, though the field thins out. There is no qualifying time, and the finish-time spread above shows how varied the field really is. If it is your first 3.1 Miles, that spread matters more than the winner's time.

How competitive is the North Royalton Bear Run?

The 3.1 Miles winner ran 15:19 while the median finisher took 26:55. That spread points to a mixed field, with a competitive front and a big recreational middle.
