About the Nite Lites Christmas Fun Run/Walk
The course runs through Michigan International Speedway at night, surrounded by an animated holiday light show. You are moving through the displays the whole way, so the scenery is part of the experience rather than a backdrop. The route is on speedway grounds, which means paved and mostly flat, and the darkness plus the lights give it a different feel from a daytime road race.
Packet pickup opens in the late afternoon on race day at the speedway, so there is no separate pre-race errand to run. The run and the walk start close together in the early evening, with on-site registration available up until shortly before the gun. Post-race, the light show surrounds you as you make your way back.
