About the Nina LeCuyer Memorial 5K
The course runs through the streets of the village, starting and finishing at the American Legion post. It is a road race through a small town, so the surroundings are quiet and residential rather than parkland or trail. Awards go to top overall finishers, top veteran, and age group placers across a wide spread of divisions.
The registration fee covers entry plus the Legion's Memorial Day breakfast afterward, open to all participants. After breakfast, the post holds a Memorial Day ceremony honoring veterans. The race itself is a tribute to a longtime Legion supporter, and proceeds go toward community members in need and the Illinois Veterans Home.

The Nina LeCuyer Memorial 5K has been held every year since at least 2018. That is as far back as RunSignup's records for this race go, so it may well be older.
How we calculate these stats: RunSesh calculates these figures from the most recent published results of past editions, sourced from RunSignup. We show aggregates only: field size, winning and median times, and the cutoff. We never publish individual finisher tables. Last updated Jul 27, 2026.
