The course runs through the Canfield Fairgrounds, which gives it a distinct setting compared to a typical road race. Fairgrounds terrain tends to be open and level, with wide paths that keep things uncluttered. The race benefits a scholarship fund established in memory of the person it honors, so there is real purpose behind the morning.
Race-day registration and packet pickup open before the start inside the Colonial Inn, which is on the fairgrounds grounds itself, so you do not have to go far once you park.
