About the Niantic Jingle 5k

The course follows the Niantic shoreline on roads, keeping things flat the whole way. It runs through McCooks Park, so there is water nearby for most of the route. The race benefits a local foundation focused on grief support and suicide prevention awareness, which gives the morning a purpose beyond the finish line.

Parking is spread across several spots around town, and carpooling is encouraged given the crowds. A food truck, a DJ, and a costume contest fill the time before the start. There is a post-race awards ceremony for top finishers, and food is available at the finish area.
