About the NH Corn Hole 5k Race

The concept here is simple: run a lap, then sink a cornhole bag before you can keep going. It happens on a loop course, and depending on which distance you pick, you stop at the cornhole range more than once. The running itself is flat laps, but the game element changes the rhythm of the whole thing.

Registration fees go to the NEDD Foundation, with Delta Dental as a sponsor. Top finishers in both the men's and women's fields earn awards, but most people seem to show up for the novelty of the format as much as anything else.

Common Questions About the NH Corn Hole 5k Race

Will I finish last at the NH Corn Hole 5k Race?

Almost certainly not. Half the 5 Miles field finished slower than 50:44, and the last recorded finisher came in around 1:28:19, so there is a long tail of runners behind the middle of the pack. Most fields are far slower than people expect.

Is the NH Corn Hole 5k Race a good first 5 Miles?

It is a small race (36 finishers), which is friendlier and less intimidating than a big-city event, though the field thins out. There is no qualifying time, and the finish-time spread above shows how varied the field really is. If it is your first 5 Miles, that spread matters more than the winner's time.

How competitive is the NH Corn Hole 5k Race?

The 5 Miles winner ran 30:28 while the median finisher took 50:44. That spread points to a mixed field, with a competitive front and a big recreational middle.
