About the Newtown Turkey Trot

Both distances start and finish at Newtown Middle School on Thanksgiving morning. The certified course heads out from the school and the walk follows a shorter portion of the same route, so the paths overlap and you may see faster runners coming back while you are still heading out.

Packet pickup runs on several evenings and a midweek morning at the C. H. Booth Library, the beneficiary of the race. Race-morning bib pickup is available but closes before the start, so arriving early matters. No post-race food is provided, though water is out on the course courtesy of local sponsors.
