About the Newtown 5K

The course runs through residential streets out of Moundview Park, looping back to where it started. The terrain is mostly flat, which makes it a straightforward road race. Mile markers are posted along the way, and there are aid stations with water out on the course. A kids fun run follows the main race in the park.

Packet pickup happens at a local running store in the days before the race, with race-morning pickup available at Moundview Park. Registration is handled entirely online, including on race day, so there is no in-person signup at the start. The awards ceremony takes place after everyone finishes.
