About the Newton Pride Monster Dash 5K

The course runs through Newton's streets, passing through several neighborhoods before returning to the high school where it starts and finishes. It is a certified road course, so the pavement is measured and marked. Costumes are part of the culture here, and the costume contest gives the start line a Halloween-morning energy that most road races skip entirely.
