About the New Year's Eve Gala
This one is a lap run around Cedar Lane Park on New Year's Eve morning. You go as many times around as you want within the time window, self-timed, so there is no pressure to hit a particular distance. Formal wear is encouraged, which means you will likely see someone running in a sequined dress or a bow tie.
After the run, there is a kid-friendly countdown to noon and a sparkling cider toast. It is put on by the Harford County Running Club, and non-members are welcome to join for a few free runs before deciding on membership.
