The course runs on paved roads through Sandy Creek Park, so the footing is consistent throughout. It is certified by USATF, which means your finish time qualifies for Peachtree Road Race entry. The park setting keeps things scenic without adding trail difficulty.
Refreshments are out after the race, which fits the occasion well. The whole thing doubles as a New Year's Eve midday gathering, so people tend to stick around once they are done.
