About the New to You - Baltimore 2-Miler

The course loops around the high school track and stays close to campus the whole way. It is short enough that most people are done before they have fully warmed up, which seems to be the point. The race raises money for the school's athletic programs, so the crowd skews local, lots of families and students cheering from the infield.

Check-in and race-morning registration both happen inside the field house on the stadium's west side, which has restrooms and keeps you out of the cold before the start. Parking is along the streets bordering the school or in the school lots. There are post-race snacks at the finish, and the organizers run a swap where runners can trade in old race hardware for something different from the pile.
