About the New River Gorge Wilds Trail Run 2026
The courses run through ACE Adventure Resort inside the New River Gorge, so the terrain is genuine trail, rooty and forested, with the gorge landscape shaping the whole feel of it. Several distance options mean runners at different points in their trail life are out on the same course on the same morning, which gives the field a wide spread of paces and experience.
Camping is available at the resort the nights before and after the race, so there is a real option to make a weekend of it rather than driving in and driving out. Post-race, a burrito buffet is set up at the finish area for anyone who wants to eat before they leave.
