About the 2nd Annual New England Ostomy 5k
The course runs along the coast at Wallis Sands State Park, so the water is close the whole way. The route follows the shoreline, and the ocean breeze is real, not just something they put in the description. It draws people connected to the ostomy community, families, and plenty of walkers alongside runners. Awards go to top finishers in both open and ostomate categories.
Packet pickup opens race morning at the park. There is a raffle running through most of the event, so bring cash or a card if you want to participate. A kids activity table and a separate kids fun run round out the morning, making it a longer stay than a typical out-and-back race day.
