About the Nevada County Turkey Trot 2026
The course mixes trail and street, looping around a high school campus and out onto a nearby trail. The terrain shifts underfoot as you go, so it never feels like a straight road race. Strollers are welcome on the walk course, and the start is at the stadium on the school grounds.
Packet pickup runs the afternoon before Thanksgiving at the school's wrestling gym, which makes race morning calmer. The race itself goes off Thanksgiving morning, so the parking and energy have that holiday-crowd feel. Placers in each age group earn awards.
