The race starts and finishes at a church north of downtown Nappanee, right during the Apple Festival. The course goes out from there, so the surroundings are open and relatively flat. Chip timing keeps things honest, and age group awards are custom apple-shaped pieces, which fits the occasion well.

Packet pickup runs the evening before and again early on race morning, both at the church. Parking is on-site. At the finish, there are apples, donuts, and apple cider. After you are done, the festival itself is right there to walk around.
