About the My Day 5K and 1 Mile Trot
The course runs through Maury County Park, which gives it a park setting with room for spectators along the route. The race grows out of a long-running fair event that brings together people with special needs and their caregivers, and that spirit carries over here. The shorter distance option starts after the main race wraps up, so walkers and slower runners have the park mostly to themselves by then.
Packet pickup runs the evening before at a church parking lot, set up as a drive-through so you can grab packets for others in your group as long as you know their date of birth. Race-morning pickup is available as well, with registration closing shortly before the start. Awards are posted as live results, and you collect any hardware near the log cabin on the park grounds.
