About the MVRRC 13th Annual Turkey Run 1M, 5K and 10K Walk/Race
The course runs along the dam at Lake Perris State Recreation Area, with open water views and no vehicle traffic. It is flat throughout, which makes it fast for those racing hard and comfortable for those just out for a Thanksgiving-week morning on foot. Kids championship races start earlier, with distances scaled by age group.
Parking at the dam area fills early, and once it does, overflow lots require a walk to the start. The state park charges a vehicle entrance fee at the gate. Race-morning packet pickup and registration open before the first kids' wave goes off.
