About the Mummies on the Move - 5k for ALS
This Halloween-themed run winds through Craig Ranch Regional Park and benefits ALS of Nevada. Costumes are part of the deal, and there are awards for best costume on two legs and best on four, because dogs are welcome on the course. It draws people who want to do something for the cause as much as run a fast morning.
The park setting keeps things self-contained, and the costume competition gives the start line a different energy than most races. If you bring a dog, plan for some extra excitement at the front.
