The route climbs through a canyon, passes a flat stretch near the ridge, then drops back down via a long trail descent. Partway up, the path narrows to single track winding through dense pines. The views from the ridge are wide and worth the effort. There is real climbing here, but the descent feels like a reward.
Donuts at the finish. A shuttle runs to the venue, though parking is available nearby if you prefer to drive yourself.
