About the Muddy River Half Marathon
The course moves through Cape Girardeau on roads and paved trails, passing landmarks like a historic courthouse and an old church before swinging toward the river. A large bridge comes into view along the way, and the route finishes at the riverfront, right outside a casino.
Proceeds from the race go to local non-profits focused on health and well-being in the area. The organizers encourage sticking around after the race to celebrate in Cape Girardeau, and the riverfront finish makes that easy.
