About the Muddy Creek 5k and Youth 1k Race
The course runs on a trail named for a local runner, tucked into a nature center and working farm outside Lindsey. It is a park district race through natural surroundings, and the name alone tells you what to expect underfoot: this is not a road race. The youth distance runs after the main event, so families tend to stick around.
Registration and race-day check-in are both handled in the barn area on site. The race goes rain or shine, so dress for whatever the morning brings. Pets are not allowed on the course during the race.
