About the MTA Class of 2028 Pie Run 5K
The course starts and finishes at a high school, running out onto sidewalks and paved roads before touching some gravel stretches. The terrain stays flat for most of the route, with a handful of gentle rises scattered through. Strollers and dogs are welcome. A short kids' fun run on a traffic-free loop around the school grounds happens before the main event.
The real draw at the finish is a pie breakfast, with sweet and savory pies, quiche, crisps, and pizza. It is open to runners and non-runners alike, with tickets available at the door. There is also a raffle and a pie auction on site.
