About the Moving Mountains 5K for Adoption
The course runs through Aberdeen Elementary School's grounds and is open to runners, walkers, and strollers. It is a flat, family-friendly route where people bring kids along without a second thought. Prizes go to top finishers across age categories, and there is also a separate award for whoever collects the most in personal sponsorships.
Entry is free, with the race funded entirely through donations, merchandise sales, and sponsorships. Merchandise can be picked up at the school before race day, and there is also a registration table on the morning of the race for last-minute needs.
