About the Move for Adoption by Iowans for Adoption
Move for Adoption is held at Ada Hayden Park in Ames, a natural area that suits the spirit of the event well. The format is open: you can run, walk with a stroller, roll, or simply watch. There is no pressure to cover a particular distance, and the crowd reflects that, drawing families, supporters, and runners alike.
The event runs in the early afternoon, with registration in the window just before things kick off. A kids' fun run follows the main start. Food and beverages are on hand, and there is space for spectators throughout, making it easy to bring people who are not running at all.
