About the 10th Annual MoTown Turkey Trot

The course runs on the US Parkway through Montgomery Township, which gets closed to traffic for the race. That is the whole draw: a wide, open road with no cars on Thanksgiving morning. Several distance options mean the whole family tends to show up, from kids to serious runners going for the longer route.

Packet pickup and check-in happen race morning at Kiddie Academy on Horsham Road, under the Scoogie Events tent in the parking lot. After the racing wraps up, the lot turns into a party with hot chocolate, snacks, bounce houses, and an awards ceremony. The local fire department is the race's beneficiary.
