About the Morton Pumpkin Classic
The course runs flat through Morton's streets, heading out toward the edge of town before finishing on Jefferson Street in the middle of the Pumpkin Festival. The finish area drops you right into the festival, so the crowd around you is a mix of racers and people already there for the weekend.
Packet pickup the evening before is at a local junior high school, with a shorter window available near the start line on race morning. After the race, there is a post-race party at the corner where the course finishes, with pumpkin donuts, beverages, snacks, and music. Your bib also works as a coupon for a pancake and sausage breakfast at a food tent nearby.
