About the Moovin' Thru the Midway 5K at the Michigan State Fair
The course runs through the Michigan State Fair's active fairgrounds, weaving past the carnival midway, animal exhibits, and vendor halls. It is not a road race or a park loop; you are moving through a working fair, which gives it a different texture than most mornings out. The finish is at the Entertainment Pavilion Beer Garden, where live music is playing and chocolate milk and coffee are waiting.
Packet pickup is race morning at the Showplace on the fairgrounds, so there is no separate trip the day before. Plan to get there early enough to collect your bib, sort out parking, and make your way to the start. Jogging strollers are welcome; dogs are not, unless they are trained service animals.
