About the Moonlight Meltdown 5k Run/Walk, Sunset Safari 10k Hybrid Trail Run, Lakeview Half Marathon
Three distances share a start and finish at a bar and grill in Belgium. The half marathon winds past farms, fields, and a buffalo farm before looping through a state park with quarry lake views. The middle distance splits between road and a mowed grass snowmobile trail through the same park, with rolling hills and possible wet patches. The shortest runs at night through town streets, lit by LED markers.
Post-race, there is food and drink at a party back at the bar and grill, along with a cash raffle. The courses benefit the local fire and rescue department.
