About the Montrose Turkey Trot
The race starts and finishes in an elementary school parking lot, which sets the tone for the whole morning. Both distance options loop out and back, and the field is a mix of people walking with strollers, dogs on leashes, and runners of every pace. Proceeds go to local schools, so the crowd tends to be neighbors who know each other.
Race-day registration is available in the parking lot before the start, so you do not need to sort everything out in advance. The start area is the finish area, which keeps things simple for anyone meeting up with family afterward.
