About the Montrose Orchards Cider Run 5K
The course runs through the grounds of Montrose Orchards, a working apple orchard outside of town. The paths wind through the trees, and the FAQ mentions some sections are bumpy enough that stroller runners should expect it. That detail tells you what the terrain is like: packed dirt and orchard paths rather than pavement, with the trees close on either side.
Packet pickup happens race morning at the orchard itself, so there is no separate trip the day before. Apple cider and donuts are at the finish line, which fits the setting about as well as anything could.
